I believe in giving back to the community in which I live. I have been president of Eggertsville Community Organization for two years. Since I have been president our organization is proud to have been part of the development of the Eggertsville Youth and Community Center. In addition, we have also strived to help our area of town develop economically through the formation of the Main & Eggert Revitalization Committee.
Also, for the last three years, I have been a member of the Town of Amherst Energy Conservation Committee. As part of that committee, we strive to reduce the amount of energy consumption in the town by 5% per year. Our committee has set out to do this through a series of recommendations to the Town of Amherst Town Board. One such example is the implementation of a pilot GPS program for the towns fleet vehicles.
Most recently, I was asked to join the Rotary Club of Amherst South, where I serve as the Sergeant at Arms for the club. Rotary International is a phenomenal organization that gives back to the world through its health initiatives. Locally, several rotary clubs have taken on several programs that benefit the youth of our area. For more information on any of the above named organizations, please visit the following websites.
